    If you like to eat fresh, home-made bread, the round Birkmann proofing basket is a high-quality alternative for rising and resting bread dough.

    The proofing baskets are made from cane, a natural material made from the wood fibres of palm trees.

    A pleasant special feature of cane is its easy-care surface. This is because the dough hardly sticks to the floured inner surface when rising. If this does happen, it is advisable to leave the leftover dough to dry in the proofing basket. It can also be warmed in a half-cooled oven. Dough residue can then be easily removed with a brush.
