    The proofing baskets are made of wicker, a natural material made from the wood fibres of palm trees.

    A pleasant speciality of peddigree is its easy-care surface. This is because the dough hardly sticks to the floured inner surface when rising. If this does happen, it is advisable to leave the leftover dough to dry in the proofing basket. It can also be warmed in a half-cooled oven. Dough residue can then be easily removed with a brush.
