    The JACK DANIEL DISTILLERY in Lynchburg, Tennessee is the oldest registered distillery in the USA. The mastermind behind the brand was Jasper Newton Daniel, known as Jack Daniel. He is said to have learnt how to distil whiskey as a young child. In 1866, he founded the licensed JACK DANIEL DISTILLERY. In honour of Jack Daniel, work at the distillery is still carried out today as it was back then: The whiskey is filtered drop by drop through charcoal and matured in handmade barrels.
