- -Oval porcelain platter with black and platinum-coloured decoration. Catene collection by Gio Ponti. The contours of the historic Impero shape are defined and emphasised by striking platinum threads; the refined black geometric motif, the result of the highest craftsmanship, reflects the mastery of the Florentine house. The Catene collection, available as complete table, tea and coffee services, was designed by the creative genius of Gio Pontis, artistic director of Manifattura from 1923 to 1933. It features a contemporary design characterised by tone-on-tone mise-en-place or table settings in striking colour combinations, especially in contrast to the Labirinto collection, which ensures continuity of lines and geometric patterns in the inimitable style of Ginori 1735.
