    The cast iron products manufactured in the company's own foundry in France enjoy a legendary reputation in the kitchen. The gourmet casserole is no exception. The large, shallow shape with low sides is perfect for searing meat and vegetables, cooking stews, roasting and baking. The pot improves caramelisation - for results that leave you wanting more. The heat-resistant lid knob (up to 260 °C) is designed for a better grip, even when the lid is lifted with oven gloves. Quick cleaning: The lightly enamelled interior makes for easier cleaning. Thanks to the large handles, you can easily move the products from the hob to the oven to the table, even when wearing oven gloves. A real all-rounder: suitable for oven, hob, induction or oven with grill function. The cast iron retains heat very well for even cooking and roasting. Your delicious creations will also stay warm on the table for longer. Locks in moisture: The tight-fitting lid helps to achieve more moisture and enhance flavour - for perfectly cooked dishes. Easy to handle: The elegant and practical handles make it safe to lift. Not too hot: Cook at an even, low to medium heat to protect your cast iron and achieve delicious results.

    Protect yourself - always use oven gloves when handling hot objects. We recommend that you only use kitchen utensils made of silicone, wood or heat-resistant plastic from Le Creuset. DO NOT use knives or metal utensils as this can cause discolouration and scratches on the enamelled surface of the product. Use the product on the most suitable size hob - this will cook your food more evenly and reduce the risk of damage to the handles and sides. This is particularly important with induction hobs: If you use a hob with the wrong diameter, there is a risk that the product will not be "recognised" by the hob. Cooking on a medium or low heat gives the best results - even when frying and searing. Allow the pan to heat up gradually to achieve evenly cooked, flavoursome dishes. If you still need a high temperature, reduce the heat as soon as the desired temperature is reached. Never slide the product over a glass ceramic hob/stove top as this can damage the underside of the product and the glass top. Instead, always lift the product and place it on the surface.

Care

    Rinse your Le Creuset product with hot water before using it for the first time; then rinse it thoroughly and dry it. Allow your product to cool before cleaning. Remove all residues from the base and sides of the product. If food residue remains, fill the product with warm soapy water and leave to soak for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing as usual. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or metal, rough or very hard cleaning pads or brushes on any of the surfaces. Dry the products well after washing and store them in a dry place. Roasters: Roasters with integrated cast iron and phenolic handles are dishwasher-safe. However, constant dishwashing can cause the enamel to become dull. Roasting pan lids: Lids with stainless steel and phenolic knobs are dishwasher-safe. Lids with lid knobs with gold, coloured, copper and black finishes should be washed by hand to preserve their finish.
