Since the age of twenty-four, Francis Kurkdjian’s life path has been closely intertwined with the Palace of Versailles. As a graduate of the Versailles Perfumery School, he later created a replica of Marie Antoinette’s perfume, “Sillage de la Reine,” drawing inspiration from archival documents. In 2001, contrary to the widespread trend of mass perfume production, Francis Kurkdjian founded his own atelier dedicated to creating bespoke fragrances. Then, in 2009, together with Marc Chaya, he established his own luxury fragrance house, Maison Francis Kurkdjian. The Maison’s perfume collection is presented as a fragrance wardrobe, offering the perfect scent for every occasion and mood. Francis’s creations are guided by highly appealing yet precise codes: purity, sophistication, timelessness, and the daring spirit of a reinvented classicism.
