- -For the Dining Height Side Chair Wood Base (DSW), Charles and Ray Eames combined the organically shaped seat shell, which Vitra now produces from post-consumer recycled plastic, with a four-legged wooden base. The combination of plastic and wood gives the classic a warm contrast, a particularly cosy touch. The seat shells can be fitted with seat cushions or fully upholstered, with a choice of fabric colours allowing a variety of individual configurations.
