HANRO is the leading international premium brand for high-quality underwear, nightwear and loungewear. Since it was founded in 1884 by Albert HANdschin and Carl ROnur in Liestal, Switzerland, the company has stood for luxurious understatement, top quality and timeless style.

High-quality fabrics and elaborate workmanship are the cornerstones of the brand. HANRO stands for passion for the product - at every stage of processing. Using the latest knitting technology - such as hemless knitted trims - and exclusive finishing processes such as soft mercerisation, high-quality natural fibres made from cotton, silk, merino wool and cashmere are processed into fine materials. In combination with French lace or Swiss embroidery, unique underwear with exceptional comfort is created. HANRO is quality you can feel on your skin.
For HANRO, sustainability is more than just an emerging trend or an additional marketing opportunity. Sustainability has always been practised and is part of the brand DNA. HANRO products are "Made in Europe". 85% of the fabrics are manufactured in the company's own textile production facility in Austria. The garments are made up in the company's own sewing factory in Portugal. Embroidery and woven fabrics are mostly sourced from suppliers in the region; yarns come from Switzerland, Italy and Austria. This reduces CO² emissions due to short transport routes. Unlike many of its competitors, HANRO knits and dyes its own fabrics. Waste water from production is reused in a closed cycle. The remaining waste water can be purified and discharged into Lake Constance. All HANRO products are STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified. This is the most important certificate for textiles that are worn next to the skin. In addition, HANRO selects its suppliers according to balanced economic, ecological and social criteria, and OEKO-TEX® certification is a prerequisite. This means that all components of HANRO products, such as fabrics, sewing threads, inserts, prints, buttons or zips, etc. meet the required criteria. The in-house dyeing and knitting mill is STeP by OEKO-TEX® certified. In addition, the production site is certified according to the latest G.O.T.S. (Global Organic Textile Standard) sustainability standards.
HANRO offers essential underwear basics, such as the 'Cotton Seamless' top, a must-have known from the film 'Eyes Wide Shut'.
