- -Argos Adonis Awakens is a romantic and timeless Eau de Parfum inspired by John William Waterhouse's iconic painting. Radiant citrus notes, delicate florals, creamy woods, and sensual rose absolute come together in a provocative and emotionally captivating fragrance. Adonis Awakens is part of the Argos Fragrances Artist Series II and draws inspiration from the work of John William Waterhouse, the celebrated English painter renowned for his Pre-Raphaelite style and devotion to Greek mythology. His painting The Awakening of Adonis beautifully captures the moment where love, loss, and rebirth converge. According to ancient legend, Adonis, the god of beauty, desire, and renewal, met a tragic fate during a hunt. As he lay dying, Aphrodite rushed to his side and wounded herself on a thorn. Her blood transformed the once-white rose, a symbol of purity and love, into a deep red bloom. A kiss from the goddess awakened Adonis, creating an eternal cycle of life and passion that has inspired poets and artists for centuries. Argos Adonis Awakens embodies this myth through a fragrance that is as poetic as it is irresistible. The composition opens with radiant bergamot, grapefruit, and pink pepper. The heart unfolds into a romantic bouquet of Bulgarian rose, sambac jasmine, vanilla, raspberry, and chestnut. The base of Mysore sandalwood, cashmere wood, and rose absolute brings depth, warmth, and sensuality.
