About the producer
- -For decades, the Cubillo family had been known for their excellent grape material - it was sold to famous producers such as Arzuaga and Emilio Moro. They have only been making wine themselves since 2001, when the siblings Estrella, Nuria and Agustín decided to found the HACIENDA SOLANO winery together with the Alsatian oenologist Sophie Kuhn. The 18 hectares are planted with up to 100-year-old ungrafted vines and are farmed organically (although not certified). They grow at altitudes of up to 900 metres. This extreme climate produces some of the most elegant wines in the Ribera del Duero.
