The Danish fashion label Les Deux is the story of two cultures. It is about the relationship between a well-off boy from the suburbs and a young political refugee from the Congo. Andreas von der Heide and Virgil Mwepele founded the company in 2009 and initially only produced basic T-shirts with various badges. The name Les Deux stands for the two very different personalities who inspired each other. They wanted to incorporate their backgrounds into their fashion and create fashion for everyone - regardless of politics, gender, faith or culture. They wanted to create their own fashion niche. In each case, two styles were to come together in one item of clothing. Preppy boys and street style were combined.
