Ruinart
from the Champagne region, France
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is surprisingly intense and fresh on the nose. Citrus fruit notes mingle pleasantly with pineapple and passion fruit flavours, which are underlined by fresh spices such as ginger and cardamom. This is followed by delicate floral notes of white jasmine and lime blossom accompanied by ripe white peach. These are enhanced by the presence of light pink peppercorn notes, which lend everything a fresh, spicy sweetness. Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is intensely aromatic and offers a round and unexpectedly sensual palate with flavours ranging from juicy ripe peaches and pears to tropical pineapple. The mouthfeel ends in a wonderfully refreshing finish based on citrus notes with a surprisingly pleasant and light touch of bitterness (lemon, white grapefruit). Everything is pure, accurate and precise. The palate is spoilt with a harmonious wine of extremely thirst-quenching freshness.

About the producer

  • -

Ruinart, the oldest champagne house in the world, has cultivated a unique lifestyle since it was founded in Reims in 1729, reflecting the era of the Enlightenment in a special way. At that time, French philosophy and culture had a great influence on the world and the outstanding position of the House of Ruinart was of corresponding radiance. Ruinart also broke new ground in the production of champagne: very early on, the decision was made to use the rare and precious Chardonnay grape for the cuvées. Elegance, purity, expertise and charisma were the guiding principles for the world's most exclusive champagne house.
