"You can pit cherries very easily with the bottle trick. To do this, you need an empty PET bottle and a chopstick. Place one cherry at a time on the opening of the empty bottle and then use the flat side of the chopstick to press the stone out of the cherry from above. This way, the pits end up in the bottle. The good thing about this method is that you always have a PET bottle to hand and if there are any splashes when pitting, they end up directly in the bottle. The kitchen stays nice and clean. If you have enough space for kitchen utensils, you can of course also get a real cherry pitter."
