Make your own cherry sorbet

"I love light and fruity sorbets. Especially in summer, they are a delicious refreshment at a summer party. But they also taste great on their own or as a finale to a fine meal. If you are serving a multi-course for guests, a sorbet is also perfect as a small, refreshing intermediate course.

For about ½ litre of sorbet you need

300 g ripe, sweet cherries 300 g homemade sugar syrup (Making sugar syrup) Juice of 1 lemon ½ very ripe banana

Firstly, pit the cherries (Pit the cherries), then put the seedless fruit together with all the other ingredients in the blender and puree everything until smooth. Pour the sweet fruit puree into the ice cream maker - and you're done! Incidentally, sorbet should always be enjoyed on the same day, as this is the only way to keep it nice and smooth. If you store it in the freezer, coarse crystals will form and the frozen delicacy will become hard."
